Some scenes stay with you forever. Namek, a planet falling apart, Krillin gone, and Goku finally snaps: the first Super Saiyan transformation is still the best fifteen seconds of anime I know.

What I love about Goku is that he never tries to be cool. He loves a good fight, eats for five and forgets every birthday, and still, when it really matters, he is the one who stands up. No long speech: a clenched fist, gold hair and that green Namek sky.
